Alison visited the Bonn Center for ArchaeoSciences (BoCAS) Institut für Archäologie und Kulturanthropologie this week to meet micro-bioarchaeologist Alice Toso and learn the basics of stable isotope analysis! This is one thing we will definitely NOT be taking up in the St Andrews lab! Stable isotope analysis offers a fascinating window on human diet and migration — full of potential for expanding our understanding of the lives and activities of medieval religious women! And this makes it of prime interest to #TeamNun!
